In this episode, Sam and Sara talk about how historians divide history, how those periods are labelled, and the problems with dividing history for study. We’re pleased to welcome Marlee Couling as our guest this episode.
Marlee is a second year History PhD student at York University. A social and gender historian, her primary research topic is plebeian female alliances in early modern Europe. Outside of research she is a teaching assistant for ‘War, Revolution, and Society in the 20th Century’ at York, a course director for ‘World History Since 1500’ at Brandon University, and a book editor for the journal Left History.
