In this lecture, Dr Alan Anderson discusses the 1909 London Declaration Concerning the Laws of Naval War, which resulted from the 1908 multinational London Conference on that subject. Alan discusses the Admiralty’s central roles in shaping the talks and the declaration that was reached.
Alan presented this lecture at the Institute for Historical Research on 10 January, 2017. It was part of the Military History seminar series.
The Editors thank Alan, but also importantly thank the IHR, without which presenting this podcast would not be possible. Many of the IHR’s seminars are now recorded for podcast. We cannot stress enough how important the IHR is as an institution, and the support and platform it has, and continues to provide for many early career researchers.
