CFPWaterfronts at Work
The 2020 CNRS-SCRN Conference and Annual General Meeting will be held Thursday, 13 August to Saturday, 15 August 2020 at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel, North Vancouver, British Columbia
Conference Fees:
$100 CNRS/NASOH members;
$125 non-CNRS/NASOH members;
$75 early career members (less than 5 years post degree);
$50 students
Proposals for papers are now being accepted.
Any student enrolled at a university or college giving a presentation is eligible for consideration for the Gerald Panting Bursary, to help defray registration, accommodation, and transportation costs. The number and monetary value of any bursary given out will depend on the number of applicants.
The Main Conference Theme is: Waterfronts at Work
Conference organizers will accept any maritime-related paper proposal on a Canadian, North American, or international topic, especially addressing:
- shipping
- marine transportation and business
- ferries
- ports and harbours
- towing and barging
- tugs
- pilotage
- shipbuilding
- container, commodity, and bulk terminals
- dock and longshore work
- maritime unions
- waterfront industrial land redevelopment
- rail and road bridges across waterways
- navies and shore infrastructure.
