Outer Banks History Center Summer Research Stipend
The Outer Banks History Center (OBHC), an archives and special collections library located in Manteo, NC, invites scholars interested in eastern North Carolina and coastal North Carolina history to apply for its 2022 summer research stipend. This stipend, sponsored by the Friends of the OBHC, offers $1,500 to offset travel expenses in support of a single intensive research visit this summer.
The Outer Banks History Center is a regional archival research facility in Manteo, on historic Roanoke Island, administered by the Special Collections Section of the State Archives of North Carolina. Its holdings document the history and culture of the North Carolina coast and adjacent areas. More information regarding eligibility, criteria, and the application process can be found on the OBHC website. The application deadline is Thursday, April 14th.
