In this episode, Sara interviews Dillan Newman and has a discussion about film and movies. We apologize, but there were some issues with the beginning of the recording.
Dillan Newman received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Film Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2014, writing his thesis for the former on the intersections of film viewing, memory, and experience via Henri Bergson’s theories of perception. Currently at the University of Toronto in the Cinema Studies Master of Arts program, he is interested in film theories that centre around phenomenological processes of viewing, the cinematic image, experimental film forms, memory, and time.
